I’m Fabiano Umbrus, a Brazilian occult practitioner, author, and biology educator from Minas Gerais. Umbrus Morningstar — School of Occult Studies is where I bring my study, practice, and reflection into an organized teaching project.
My teaching begins with a question and the willingness to stay with it. When I discuss a practice, I want to understand its purpose, the reasoning behind it, and the decisions it asks of the practitioner. A meaningful spiritual life also asks us to look closely at how we live, what we commit to, and what we do after seeking guidance.
The perspective I bring
Luciferianism and the Left-Hand Path inform my approach to knowledge, disciplined will, responsibility, and a self-directed life. Those words describe my orientation. I make room for the distinct histories, cosmologies, and methods of the traditions I practice or study.
My Brazilian background and work in biology education inform the care I bring to observation. I distinguish what a tradition teaches, what I have experienced, how I interpret it, and what empirical evidence can establish. Spiritual meaning deserves clear language, and an interpretation remains open to examination.
Two streams of study
Luciferian Quimbanda Studies is the lineage-specific stream. I study under Mestre Bárbara Toledo at the Escola Iniciática Quimbanda Luciferiana and speak from that guided study when discussing Luciferian Quimbanda of the Souls. Other Quimbanda houses may teach and practice differently.
Occult Philosophy & Practice is the broader stream for historical context, philosophical inquiry, symbolic understanding, and practical reasoning. It does not turn Quimbanda into a branch of Hermetic or ceremonial magic.
The school is my educational project. It does not confer initiation, certification, lineage membership, or rank. Entering a tradition’s initiatory path and learning its private rites belong with that lineage and its teachers.
